Ronaldo vs Messi

Riyadh: Without a doubt, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi are the best footballers of the generation and that is why they are immensely popular. The two footballers have a huge fan base and rightly so. The fans become very emotional and loyal when it comes to supporting the player they like, and this was seen when Al Nassr took on Al Hilal in a pre-season tournament, the Riyadh Season Cup Final.

Ronaldo was jeered by Al Hilal fans who chanted 'Messi, Messi' after their team defeated Al Nassr. The chants started after Ronaldo missed a crucial chance in the first half of the match.

When he was mocked, Ronaldo responded with his iconic 'calm down' gesture. Here's the clip that's now going viral:

Then it seemed Ronaldo lost his cool as the cheering didn't stop. As Ronaldo entered the tunnel area, a fan threw an Al Hilal scarf at Ronaldo, which he held and then pointed to his crotch before throwing it away.

The Portuguese star was also in the spotlight during the match when Ronaldo was injured during a challenge with an Al Hilal player and was seen holding his crotch. Shortly after the match, Al Nassr provided an update on Ronaldo's injury.

Al Nassr defended their star in a statement saying: “Ronaldo is suffering from an injury. His challenge with Al-Hilal player Gustavo Cuellar started with a blow to a very sensitive area. This is confirmed information. As for the fans' explanation, they are free to think whatever they want.”
