New Delhi: Cristiano Ronaldo scored arguably his best goal yet for Al Nassr when he went back years with a 40-yard lob against Al Akhdoud in the Saudi Pro League on Saturday. The former Manchester United and Real Madrid star scored again as Al Nassr won the match 3-0 to record their 11th win in the competition. Al Nassr is currently in second place, one point behind Al Hilal who are at the top.

Al Nassr took the lead in the 13th minute through Sami Al Najei. Just when it looked like the only goal of the evening, Ronaldo did what he does best. The Portuguese superstar found the back of the net with a controlled ball for the second goal of the match.

Three minutes later, Al Akhdoud goalkeeper Paulo Vitor tried to clear the ball, but it fell to an onrushing Ronaldo. The 38-year-old first chested the ball before chipping in from 40 yards. It looked like the ball was going to go over the bat, but to everyone’s surprise it dove into it.

Ronaldo has been in brilliant form for Al Nassr this season. He also scored eighteen times in as many games this season and also became the highest first division goalscorer in history. He now has 527 goals to his name, scored around the world in the Saudi Pro League, English Premier League, La Liga, Serie A and Liga Portugal.

For Al Nassr, Ronaldo’s tally stands at 32 goals in 37 games in just eleven months in the country.
