SHOPPERS are shouting 'please don't leave' after a 130-branch discount retailer revealed it will close a store next week.
The beauty and cosmetics store sells everything from toilet paper and shampoo to high-end cosmetics.
But Bodycare says it will close one of its stores next week.
The chain will be pulling down the shutters on its branch in Leyland, Lancashire. on February 14.
This is despite Bodycare's head office being less than two miles away, Lancashire Post reports.
It is currently unclear whether the branch, which operates as Graham's, will be replaced by a new store in the area. Lancashire Post reports.
Locals were quick to express their disappointment at the closure.
One said: “I'm gutted. I'm always here. Leyland will not be the same without Grahams.
“I've been shopping there since I was a kid. So sad to see it go.”
A second wrote: “No please don't go, we love this shop.”
And a third added: “Oh not another love that goes into this store all the time.”
The bargain store also sells a huge range of lesser-known brands for much cheaper than its rivals' own brand items.
Bodycare was launched in 1970 on a market stall in Lancashire and now has more than 130 stores across the UK.
It comes as shoppers have been left in despair as one department store also marks the closure of another branch.
A large coffee chain with 2,000 stores is also closing another branch after a series of closures.
