Dancing On Ice 2024: Full professional skater line-up revealed as TWO new faces join the team after start date for upcoming series confirmed

Dancing On Ice have revealed the line-up of professional skaters for the upcoming 2024 series, with Vanessa Bauer and Brendyn Hatfield among the pros returning.

And the new series will see a shake-up among the pros as Simon Senecal and Amani Fancy join the show following Matt Evers departure. 

While skaters Klabera Komini, Alexandra Schauman, Olivia Smart, and Lukasz Rozycki will not be returning this year. 

Joining the others will be Slyvain Longchambon, Colin Grafton, Robin Johnstone, Andy Buchanan, Mark Hanretty, Anette Dytrt, Vanessa James, and Vicky Ogden.

Photos of the contestants show fan favourite Vanessa with partner her Miles Nazaire, while Brendyn will show Lou Sanders the ropes. 

Made in Chelsea star Miles admitted he ‘100%’ felt as though he has something to prove on the rink, before gushing over his and partner’s ability to help bring out the real him.

Saying: ‘I don’t know if Vanessa takes it out of me or it’s just I’m feeling really comfortable, but there’s a side that I only show my mum and people who are very, very close to me,’ 

‘Which is kind of like the kiddie side and just having a bit of more fun and not so serious and not so ‘Miles the French boy’ who talks in French and woos women’. 

Adding: ‘I really love it when I’m like that. I’m just a bit goofy and I’m just a little bit more myself’.

Miles also said he believed he was ‘progressing rapidly’ in training and could see himself as the show’s latest winner. 

Meanwhile comedian Lou was also full of praise for her new partner and said Brendyn had ‘exceeded all her expectations’.  

‘I quite literally am trusting him with my life so it’s lucky we really get on. He’s so fun and funny and he’s so talented.

Former boxer Ricky Hatton will be joined by professional dancer Robin Johnstone while  Claire Sweeney will be dancing with Colin Grafton. 

Ricky said he was looking forward to the reality show challenge after overcoming problems in his personal life. 

Candidly admitting: ‘I wasn’t in a very good place. But since then everything’s moving forward and positive in my life’.

The boxer publicly struggled with crippling addiction which eventually led him to wanting to end his life. 

He cheekily said of his chances in the competition: ‘I don’t think I’m in a position to win it but I think I’m in a good position that a lot of people will get a lot of laughs.

While Corrie’s Claire said she signed up in order to achieve a ‘skater’s bum for Christmas’ and get her body super fit.

Ryan revealed the fateful call from DOI bosses came just weeks after his daughter Scarlett, 15, asked if he would ever compete on the show. 

‘It was so random when she said it to me and I had just said “Maybe one day Scarlett”. A week later I got a phone call from my agent saying would I like to do it! It wasn’t even a discussion, I immediately said “I want to do it”.

He also said that after watching brother Adam’s strictly journey the important was ‘persistence’ saying: ‘If I get half of what he got out of this, then I’ll be happy’.

Emmerdale’s Roxy said former co-star Matthew Wolfenden, who won DOI back in 2012, did not mince his words she she axed for advice.

Matthew just said to me, “Look, it’s really, really, really hard work. Be aware it will take over your life. It’s every single day”.

She went on: ‘He really warned me about that but he also said, “You’re going to absolutely love it.” And so far he’s right. It’s really intense but also I am enjoying it as challenging and as scary as it’.

Holly Willoughby is reportedly set to address her three-month TV absence when she returns to Dancing On Ice on Sunday.

The TV presenter, 42, is will host the ITV skating show alongside Stephen Mulhern, MailOnline exclusively revealed.

The series kicks off almost three months after she learned of an alleged plot to kidnap and murder her.

According to a new report, Holly will thanks her fans for their support in hopes to ‘mark the start’ of a new positive year. 

A TV insider told The Sun: ‘Holly is really looking forward to putting 2023 behind her and focusing on a fresh, positive start to a new year.’

They continued: ‘She is considering a very brief comment at the top of the opening show, along the lines of, “It’s good to be back,” or “Thanks for your support,” drawing a firm line under her hiatus and marking the beginning of a new optimistic term.’

MailOnline has contacted Holly’s representatives for comment. 

It comes as Dancing On Ice bosses are said to have offered Holly heightened security and want to make sure she feels completely ‘secure’ on the show, according to The Sun.

The publication also claimed that Holly has signed a one-year rolling contract with an option to step back next year in case she wants a longer break.

A source told The Sun: ‘Bosses have been working hard to ensure she feels completely secure, trying not to put any pressure on all while making sure she knows they are ready to support her every step of the way.’ 

Holly signed a deal over Christmas after weeks of deliberating over whether to present the show, and is said to be ‘excited’ about to getting back to work on the show that she previously hosted with her former friend Phillip Schofield.

An ITV insider told MailOnline: ‘Holly is a star and everyone was so very much hoping that she would decide to come back.

‘After many discussions and a lot of thought, she thought that getting some normality into her life would be a good thing.

‘There are obvious worries about going on live television, her main priority is her family, ITV have been hugely understanding and have not put any pressure on her at all.’

They added: ‘They wanted to give her all of the time she needed but it has been a rough decision for her. Time was ticking but the bosses were trying to remain calm.’

Katie Rawcliffe, head of entertainment commissioning at ITV, said: ‘Holly and Stephen are two of our best loved presenters, so reuniting them 20 years after they first appeared on screen together to host Dancing On Ice marks the start of an exciting year for the show.’ 

ITV also shared a post to Instagram which read: ‘Dancing On Ice news 20 years since they first worked together, Holly Willoughby and Stephen Mulhern join forces for the greatest show on ice.’
