David Beckham misses family business at Nicola Peltz's Lola premiere in LA as he attends Inter Miami's football match in Hong Kong instead

David Beckham missed the family affair at Nicola Peltz's Lola premiere in LA on Saturday night due to work commitments.

The former professional footballer, 48, attended a pre-season friendly match between the Hong Kong Team and Inter Miami – of which he is a co-owner – in Hong Kong.

Meanwhile, his wife Victoria, 49, was at the star-studded premiere in LA with her son Brooklyn, 24, and wife Nicola, 29.

At the match, David looked dapper in a blue suit, white shirt and tie as he waved to fans in the stands.

He also gave high fives to adoring supporters and watched the match with glee.

Brooklyn planted a sweet kiss on his wife Nicola on Saturday night at the premiere of her new film Lola in LA.

The aspiring chef and actress put on a sweet performance at the star-studded event at the Regency Bruin Theater in California.

Nicola looked fantastic in a white corset-style top and matching smart trousers as she leaned in for the cuddle.

While Brooklyn, neatly dressed in a black suit, supported his partner at the premiere.

Nicola also socialized at the event with her mother-in-law Victoria, with whom she recently resolved a 'feud'.

While the couple's best friend Selena Gomez also showed up in a plunging chic pantsuit.

Nicola made a milestone by making her directorial debut with the upcoming drama titled Lola, which will be released on February 9.

Following their reconciliation, Nicola and Victoria put the past aside and paused for an assortment of photos together as they posed up a storm on the pink carpet.

The budding star lovingly placed her right arm over her mother-in-law's shoulder, and Victoria was seen taking her hand with hers.

The screening comes shortly after it was revealed late last month that both Victoria and Nicola put aside their differences and concocted $2-a-pop vodka cocktails and played Peltz's favorite memory game called Fish Bowl on Sunday afternoons.

Sources say they are now closer than ever thanks to giggling together on Sunday afternoon over the 5.5 percent proof drink that contains 196 calories per serving.

Speaking for the first time about his mother and wife's new close relationship, Brooklyn says they bonded over cans of Vodka Snapper, a mix of liquor and fruit-flavored iced tea.

'We love Sunday roasts. Me and my dad share a bottle of wine. My mum and Nicola share vodka Snapple,” he revealed.

'We don't really watch TV, we just talk and have fun. It's just about being in the moment, having a drink, eating and enjoying each other's company.”

'We play games sometimes. My wife introduced my family to the game Fish Bowl, which we enjoy playing at gatherings.”

“My mom and dad really like it, we played it a few weeks ago when we were together.” Brooklyn is said to be “thrilled and relieved” that his beloved mother, who turns 50 in April, and his wife have buried the hatchet.

One source says that “time has been a great healer,” but now the two women are “super close.”

Speaking about how they are all friends now, Brooklyn adds in an interview with Grazia magazine: “Me and my family are very close, and my wife and her family are very close.”

'Mine are between London and Miami, which is really good. Thank God for the football team so I can see them as much as possible. We sometimes travel to London, they come here [to LA] and we meet sometimes in Miami.”

Beckham and Peltz had a falling out after the actress assumed her future mother-in-law would design her wedding dress, but she didn't have time for that.

Instead, the bride wore Valentino and Nicola later gave an interview in which he insisted that rescinding Victoria's offer was not meant as a slight to her new mother-in-law.

“I was going to do it and I really wanted to do it, and then a few months later she realized her studio couldn't do it, so I had to pick another dress,” she said.

However, the past is now behind the family and they are now celebrating Nicola's new milestone by making her directorial debut with the film titled Lola.

She also wrote the screenplay and played a leading role in the project, which took almost six years to complete.

“I find it insulting to working-class women who actually live in this reality to have to watch a billionaire indulge in a dream acting role.”

For Lola, she enlisted the help of 28-time Grammy-winning producer Quincy Jones, the man behind Michael Jackson's Thriller album, to help with the soundtrack.
