A DERMATOLOGIST has shared the product she swears by to tackle fine lines around her eyes.

The skincare expert also revealed an affordable dupe for her favorite beauty find.

In her videoDr. Shereene Idriss (@shereeneidriss) describes the items she uses in her anti-aging efforts.

“In our 40s, it becomes apparent that our eyes become extremely reactive to hormonal changes, to your period, to lack of sleep, to alcohol,” she explained.

The YouTuber clarified that alcohol and sugar are fine in moderation, but can lead to visible bags in the eyes and face.

“If you're someone who is very reactive to all of the above, your eyes are probably waking up like two pufferfish,” the doctor explained.

Dr. Idriss revealed the puffer serum she uses to soften her eyes.

“This is my staple every morning. I keep this baby next to my bed,” she told her viewers.

The health expert recommended her own de-puffer roll-on serum.

“Before I even open my eyes, I roll it around my eyes and massage the gel into it,” said Dr. Idriss.

“Then I go to the bathroom, then I brush my teeth, then I jump in the shower, and by the time I come out, I'm open.”

She joked that “the eyes are the gateway to the soul” and that her soul is swollen.

She recommended retinol to anyone with fine lines, which she said people “will start to notice in their 40s because our collagen starts to decline much faster.”

Dr. Idriss showed her audience La Roche-Posay's $50 Redermic Retinol Eye Cream.

“Retinol is something you want to apply around your eyes,” she explained.

“[This product] doesn't tell you the percentage of pure Retinol, but it is glycerin based and it is specially formulated for the eye, so if in doubt, buy a retinol eye cream.”

Dr. Idriss also offered her followers a cheaper retinol option, The Inkey List's $14 Retinol Eye Cream.

“They have supposedly stabilized a slow-release retinoid formula that prevents irritation,” she said.
