Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is expected to suspend his campaign for president soon, two people familiar with the matter said Sunday.

His decision, expected to be made public before Tuesday's New Hampshire primary, marks a spectacular implosion for a candidate once seen as the best chance to dethrone Donald J. Trump as the Republican Party's 2024 nominee. DeSantis suffered a devastating 30 percentage point loss to Mr Trump in the Iowa caucuses, leaving him without a clear path to the nomination.
