Dessert Masters judge Melissa Leong looks like a new woman as she debuts her dramatic blonde bob at the star-studded NGV Gala 2023
Melissa Leong had fans doing a double take on Friday when she debuted a dramatic hair transformation at the NGV Gala in Melbourne.
The Dessert Masters judge, 41, ditched her signature jet black locks for a stunning new blonde bob, complete with sharp, blunt bangs at the front.
As for her outfit, the food critic wowed in a bright red ball gown with a trumpet skirt and asymmetrical sleeve details.
Melissa also wore an array of gold jewelry from Tiffany & Co., including a choker, bracelets and rings.
Her look was completed with a gold makeup look that perfectly accentuated the warm tone of her blonde new ‘do.

It is unclear if Melissa permanently changed her hair, or if she wore a wig at night.
Melissa is known for pushing the boundaries when it comes to fashion, often wearing avant-garde outfits and hairstyles on the red carpet.
In August, the former MasterChef Australia judge shared a post on Instagram to remind her followers that “style is subjective.”

Melissa shared the post shortly after attending the 2023 TV Week Logie Awards.
“Your semi-regular PSA that if you don’t like something someone is doing or wearing, you don’t always have to let the world know,” she wrote.
‘There was a stunning array of looks last night that showed off the style and personality of each wearer, and it was damn beautiful to see. And I can tell you for free that even though this is part of our job, it’s a little scary and revealing to be out there on the carpet,” she continued.

Melissa warned her followers that fashion can be very ‘personal’, and stressed that celebrities should not be criticized for their outfits by people they don’t know.
“To be clear, this is an observation about how people get so comfortable criticizing women in general,” she added.
“Contrary to popular belief, not everything women write is coded or solipsistic.”
