Rae Delgado, a Disney cast member, wrote on Facebook that Lear suffered a fractured skull and swelling of the brain as a result of the incident.

According to Delgado, Lear was riding next to three passengers on the back of the golf cart when they hit a bump in the road.

Lear allegedly “reacted immediately” and reached out to grab a handrail, which gave way and “sent her from the vehicle.”

Delgado said, “Doctors operated on her to prevent further damage, but it was over.”

Disneyland Resort President Ken Potrock said in a statement: “We are heartbroken by the loss of Bonnye and extend our sincere condolences to all who cared for her.

“Right now, we are focused on supporting her family and our cast members during this tragic event and ensuring they have the resources they need.”

Delgado claims that she and her fellow cast members were told to keep quiet about the incident, which she strongly disagrees with.

‘Managers tell the story [cast members] not to discuss the circumstances of Bonnye’s death with others,” she further wrote Facebook. ‘They ask for silence. They want it to be forgotten.”

Disneyland cast members were reportedly “terribly upset” when they heard about their colleague’s death.

Lear, a cast member for 24 years, worked in membership services at the exclusive Club 33.

Disney theme park vlogger “Just Ask Danny,” who used to work with Lear at Disneyland, expressed his condolences online.

“She was literally the nicest person to work at the Disneyland Resort,” he wrote in one after on X. “This is really sad for her family and fellow cast at the Club.”
