The Donald Trump campaign has raised a whopping $200 million since the former president was found guilty of 34 crimes last Thursday, his son Eric Trump said Sunday.

Eric, who is married to Republican National Committee (RNC) co-chair Lara Trump, said she told him the amount consisted of more than $70 million in fundraising for small donors in the three days since his father was found. guilty of 34 offenses related to falsifying company records.

“This may be some inside information, but as I left my house about 37 seconds ago, I asked my wife, what are we up to next?” Eric Trump told Fox news‘Maria Bartiromo.

The former president’s son continued: “If you add the large dollar donations, you get to more than $200 million.”

The figures cited by Eric Trump seem to show that support does not only come from Republican voters.

The free flow of campaign fundraising signals a flood of aid for the former president following his historic trial.

“I mean, these are Americans who are angry. They’re coming out of the closet and they want to support a man they think is being cheated by a system.”

On Friday, Eric Trump posted on his social media that the campaign had received $52.8 million in donations in the 24 hours since the hush-money lawsuit verdict.

Just over a day later, that had risen to more than $200 million, largely thanks to a single large donation.

Israeli-American Miriam Adelson, the wife of the late casino magnate Sheldon Adelson, has reportedly pledged $100 million to the Trump campaign in the days since his criminal conviction. The Forwarda Jewish outlet.

She is the latest of a number of billionaires who have pledged to help the former president regain his grip on power.

The private equity giant said its decision to back the ex-president was partly motivated by the anti-Semitism seen on college campuses in the wake of the war between Israel and Hamas.

“The dramatic rise of anti-Semitism has led me to focus with greater urgency on the implications of the upcoming election,” he told Axios in a statement.

“I share the concern of most Americans that our economic, immigration and foreign policies are moving the country in the wrong direction.”

“Additionally, I will support Republican Senate candidates and other Republicans from top to bottom,” his statement continued.

Schwarzman said his effort to endorse Trump in 2023 is a “vote for change.”

The RNC and Trump campaign did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
