Dr. Phil calls on Biden to dismiss Trump’s hush money conviction as he blasts the weaponization of the DOJ and FBI in furious monologue saying he fears ‘Putin poisoning posses’ will be next

Dr. Phil used his primetime show Monday to call on Joe Biden to dismiss Donald Trump’s conviction on 34 felony counts of falsifying documents.

Trump faces stiff fines and possible prison time in his July 11 sentencing, throwing the 2024 election into chaos.

The longtime TV host, who has delved more into hard news with his primetime show on his Merit Street Media, decried the “weaponization” of the justice system to convict Trump.

He called on President Biden to “end this madness to save the collective soul and sanity of America.”

“The current government could and should do the right thing: reject now and even now all such legal practices following the conviction of a political opponent and pledge to return to the normal functioning of a rightly led government.”

He thinks America can become a “banana republic” similar to many autocratic nations, a nation similar to Russia.

‘What are we going to do next? Find a ‘Putin poisoning ring’ and find political opponents foaming at the mouth at home, not so mysteriously dying in their Lay-Z-Boy armchairs?’

Dr. Phil claimed that he is not “advocating voting for one candidate or the other,” but that he wants to help “right this ship” of America.

“We need our Justice Department to return to the job of dispensing justice and not running the political agendas of those currently in power,” he said.

He added that such “weaponization” of the legal system “makes my skin crawl.”

Dr. Phil then called on both sides of the aisle to overcome their distaste for each other and be able to tell right from wrong.

“Let’s be honest: this isn’t just about Trump. “If you let your hatred of Donald Trump compromise your ability to find true north on your moral compass, shame on you,” he said.

He then added, “If your distaste for Biden blinds you to the inevitable consequences of pursuing revenge, then God help the children who will inherit the dystopian nightmare we are creating.”

The former president was found guilty of 34 crimes in a Manhattan courthouse last Thursday.

Trump’s team tried to vigorously defend the former president and distance him from Cohen’s payments to Stormy Daniels.

They also reiterated some of their strongest points: that hush money payments are not illegal and that Trump merely wanted to spare his family the humiliation of Stormy’s alleged affair claims.

It is the first time that a former American president has faced a criminal trial.

Trump is the presumptive Republican presidential nominee and will face Joe Biden in the November elections.

It means the verdict could upset the 2024 White House race and prove a pivotal moment in United States history.

The charges Trump faces each carry a maximum prison sentence of up to four years.

Prosecutors told of a plot by Trump to “corrupt” the 2016 election by concealing a $130,000 hush-money payment from his “fixer” Michael Cohen to porn star Stormy Daniels.

Daniels claimed she and Trump had sex a decade earlier, which he has denied.

The case featured explosive evidence from Daniels and exposed the “catch and kill” practices of the tabloid National Enquirer, which bought and suppressed stories that could be damaging to Trump.

But the actual criminal complaint concerns something more prosaic: the reimbursements that Trump signed for Cohen for the payment.

The fees, paid by Trump in monthly installments, were recorded as legal fees.

Prosecutors say this was a fraudulent label intended to conceal the purpose of the hush money transaction and illegally interfere with the 2016 election.

Defense lawyers argued that Cohen actually did substantial legal work for Trump and his family and was paid for it.

Prosecutors had to set a high bar to convince a 12-person New York jury that Trump conspired to help his 2016 election campaign by paying porn star Stormy Daniels $130,000 to keep quiet about their alleged sexual encounters.

Trump’s legal team is expected to appeal regardless of the July 11 conviction, but the unprecedented conviction sets in motion a process that all convicted criminals within Manhattan’s criminal justice system will face.

Theoretically, Trump could face a prison sentence of 136 years if he receives consecutive sentences on all charges.

But even before the verdict came down, legal experts suggested it was unlikely Trump would have to spend time behind bars.

Trump, 77 years old, has no prior convictions. The charges also include a non-violent crime.

New York law does not recommend prison time for non-violent crimes where the suspect has no prior felony conviction within the last 10 years.

The most likely option, according to legal experts, is that the ex-president risks probation or a large fine. Both pose their own challenges for the former president.

Meanwhile, Trump, as a former president and presumptive Republican presidential nominee, has another unique consideration that officials must deal with.

Trump enjoys Secret Service protection. The agency has reportedly already been in discussions about how it would proceed with protecting him if Trump were actually incarcerated.

Trump’s lawyers have already been able to delay the three other cases against him.

Although New York law made it difficult to delay the hush money case, his team is expected to appeal the conviction.
