‘Drunk’ Jet2 holidaymaker is handcuffed and dragged off plane with a SEATBELT tied around his legs after Glasgow flight to Tenerife is diverted to Ireland after ‘crew and passengers are attacked’

A holidaymaker was handcuffed and dragged off a Jet2 flight with a seat belt around his legs after allegedly attacking crew and passengers.

The flight that had taken off Glasgow shortly before 4pm on Wednesday en route to Tenerife had to be diverted to Ireland so that the passenger could be removed.

Footage from a fellow holidaymaker on the plane showed a man, who was reportedly drunk, wearing nothing but shorts and being carried down the aisle as Garda officers took him into custody.

His wrists were handcuffed behind his back, while his legs appeared to be tied with an airplane seat belt.

Passengers made a brief stop at Shannon Airport so that the disruptive passenger could be removed from the flight.
