Eight people were injured when bus and jeep collided on the Gold Coast

Eight people have been injured after a bus and a Jeep Cherokee collided in Biggera Waters on the Gold Coast.

Witnesses said they saw one of the vehicles driving on the wrong side of the road around 7pm on Tuesday.

Six people on board the bus, which was carrying 40 passengers, were injured. A 46-year-old woman was taken to hospital while the others were treated in the hospital.

Two men in the Jeep, the 25-year-old driver from Arundel and his passenger, 21, were also taken to hospital.
