EMILY PRESCOTT: Has Rupert Murdoch’s granddaughter divorced her husband after just a year?

Her grandfather Rupert Murdoch is no stranger to divorces, with four ex-wives and one abruptly ended engagement to his name.

Now friends fear Charlotte Freud’s marriage to rapper Luke Storey is also on the rocks, just a year after their stylish Cotswolds wedding.

The pair haven’t been pictured together for a while – but more telling for a modern couple are their actions on social media. Charlotte, 23, the daughter of Elisabeth Murdoch and PR guru Matthew Freud, no longer follows rapper Luke on Instagram – she has also deleted almost all of her photos, and he is not in any of the photos that remain.

Luke still follows her online, but was noticeably absent from photos taken at his father-in-law’s 60th birthday party last weekend. Meanwhile, Charlotte posted a photo of herself with her father, actor Woody Harrelson, and magician David Blaine at the star-studded party.

Harrelson attended the couple’s wedding last July and helped Charlotte, who also goes by Tiarlie, with her hair. Also at the ceremony, in which Charlotte wore a Gothic dress, were presenter Claudia Winkleman and the bride’s grandfather Rupert, who attended the day after his fourth wife, model Jerry Hall, filed divorce papers in Los Angeles.

The 92-year-old billionaire media mogul then started dating former radio host Ann Lesley Smith, but broke off their engagement after just two weeks. Now it seems Charlotte may also have fallen victim to what’s been dubbed the ‘curse of the Murdochs’ – although both she and Luke declined to comment last night.

Charlotte, a composer, currently divides her time between the UK and Los Angeles, where she studies. Last week she announced that she had teamed up with author Charlie Mackesy to create a musical version of his hit book The Boy, The Mole, The Fox And The Horse, which can be performed for primary school children. Announcing the news on social media, Charlotte said: ‘My heart is bursting. I am so grateful that I was entrusted with this story.’

She added that she gave the children she had worked with temporary tattoos “so we could match.”

She was one half of fashion duo Trinny and Susannah, but now Susannah Constantine is embarking on a less glamorous project: spending time in a Portuguese sleep clinic to find a solution to her snoring.

The 61-year-old, right, who has tried everything from mouth taping to separate bedrooms, says: ‘What I’m discovering is that there is no single cure for the sleep snoring problem. The good news is that there are several things we can do to improve our sleep patterns.’

Fingers crossed that she finds something that works – not least in the interests of her husband, Danish entrepreneur and businessman Sten Bertelsen.

After being acquitted of charges that he assaulted his ex-girlfriend and her sister, Ryan Giggs is set to revive his career by making some public appearances.

The former Manchester United footballer and Wales manager, 49, is advertising a series of live ‘evening with’ events next year, charging fans up to £200 each to meet him at venues in Chester, Belfast and Northampton.

In July, the star was said to be ‘deeply relieved’ when charges of assault against his ex, Kate Greville, and her sister Emma were dropped after Kate refused to co-operate in a retrial.
