Emma Stone and Yorgos Lanthimos already have a third film together in the making.

Following the critical acclaim of their feature films The Favorite (2018) and Poor Things (2023), for which she earned her second Best Actress Oscar on Sunday, Searchlight Pictures announced that the pair will have an anthology film in theaters on June 21.

While the plot of their upcoming project is being kept under wraps, the film, directed by Lanthimos, will star Stone, Jesse Plemons, Willem Dafoe, Margaret Qualley, Hong Chau, Joe Alwyn, Mamoudou Athie and Hunter Schafer.

At the Golden Globes, he said Deadline That Kinds of Kindness consists of ‘three contemporary stories, and there is a core of actors – seven in total – who play one character in each story.’

“So they’ll be playing three different characters,” he told the outlet in January.

Poor Things grossed an impressive $108.7 million worldwide and earned four Academy Awards, including Best Actress for Stone’s performance as Bella Baxter, Makeup and Hair Styling, Costume Design and Production Design.

Meanwhile, The Favorite took home $95 million worldwide and Olivia Colman scored her Oscar for Best Actress.

While accepting her award this weekend, Stone admitted that she recently started to “freak out” when thinking about the possibility of receiving the honor.

‘Yorgos [Lanthimos] said to me, please get yourself out of it,” Stone told viewers. “And he was right, because it’s not about me. It’s about a team that came together to create something greater than the sum of its parts.”

She also thanked Lanthimos for giving her “the gift of a lifetime” in starring “in Bella Baxter.”

Last year, during an interview with Stone, Lanthimos revealed why he enjoyed working with Stone Entertainment weekly.

‘Besides she’s a great actress, [Emma] is a very unique presence overall,” he told the outlet. “And as soon as I told her the story, she was immediately excited and just wanted to know everything about the world and read the script.”

He continued, “I started discussing who else would work on it, how we were going to film it, just like other actors. She just became very fascinated by every aspect of the film.”

“So that’s how she became a producer on the film too, because she was there so early and involved in every aspect of it that it was inevitable that she took on that role as well,” he added.

The Scottsdale native’s latest win at the Oscars came seven years after he took home the leading actress Oscar award for La La Land.

She was also previously nominated in the supporting actress category for Birdman (2014) and The Favorite (2018).

Throughout her career, the actress, one of the highest-paid actresses in the world, has also earned two British Academy Film Awards, two Golden Globe Awards and several accolades.

Originally from Athens, Greece, Lanthimos has received a British Academy Film Award and a Golden Globe Award for his work, as well as six Oscar nominations.

His films include The Lobster (2015), My Best Friend (2001), Kinetta (2005) and Dogtooth (2009).
