Detective Senior Agent Khuong Tran told the court on Tuesday that he obtained CCTV images of the Caldermeade BP on July 30, 2023 – one day after lunch.

The CCTV, which was played on the jury, depicted Patterson, wore a gray cotton sweater, white pants and wore a handbag, pulled the front of the gas station in its red MG at 3.20 pm.

A stationary image showed Patterterson that nine seconds entered a toilet before he left and blurred the store.

Patterson was shown to go to the food section and look around before you grabbed an item.

The jury heard that she went to the drink in another aisle before she paid and left for her articles.

The purchased items were a kind of sour candy, a sandwich with ham, cheese and tomatoes and a sweet chili chicken foil, heard the court.

The edited two minutes and 34 seconds CCTV vision together with 11 stills were exhibited.

The court previously heard in the trial that Patterson said the hospital staff that she had surrendered in the days after lunch and had Diarhhoea.

Telecommunication -Expert Dr. Matthew Sorell (photo) was placed under the pump on Tuesday by main defense barrier Colin Mandy SC.

Expert explains how he identifies data that are of ‘importance for the research’

Mr. Fox-Henry said he ‘interrogates’ data and tags items of ‘interest in the research’.

He said that research software can generate a report of the tagged items, including information about which date an item or artifact has been made and changed.

The artifact data can also contain the date on which a website was visited and the ‘conditions of the search record’.

Mr. Fox-Henry also agrees that Google search assignments can produce multiple artifacts.

The expert explained that artifacts can be files, folders and miniatures.

Digital Forensics Expert is called up

Victoria Police Cybercrime Squad Senior Digital Forensics Officer Shamen Fox-Henry (shown below) has explained the jury how he carries out forensic research into computers, mobile phones and other devices.

Patterterson, who wears a black and white striped top, listened when Mr. Fox-Henry explained how he uses specialized Victorian police-digital research software to ‘investigate and determine’ the data.

Mr. Fox-Henry told the jury that he performed data recovery and extraction of computer and mobile phone systems after he joined the cyber crime team in July 2023.

The court received a short PowerPoint entitled ‘Digital Forensics’ that was prepared by Mr. Fox-Henry.

Mr. Fox-Henry explained that he is removing data from a hard drive from a device and sends it back to the police researcher as a ‘portable matter’.

He said he takes the data and places the information in ‘human readable form’.

Mr. Fox-Henry agrees that researchers can view files, images and other data in the portable case.

He also said he can find downloads on the internet, also known as ‘artifacts’,.

Patterson trial overview

Erin Patterterson, 50, is accused of killing her in-laws, Don and Gail Patterson, and Gail’s sister, Heather Wilkinson, after she has reportedly served a lunch with beef Wellington with Death Cap-Champignons.

Patterson is also accused of trying to kill Heather’s husband, pastor Ian Wilkinson, who survived lunch after having spent a few weeks in an intensive care department.
