This beautiful island off the Irish coast is reminiscent of the fictional Craggy Island from the 1990s Channel 4 sitcom – can be yours for less than a million euros.
Middle Calf Island, off the south coast of Ireland, represents 64 hectares of ‘uninhabited solitude’ and boasts a beautiful private beach, an abundance of wildlife and views over the ‘wild’ Atlantic Ocean. So says Vladi private islandsthe company tasked with selling it.
The company’s CEO, Farhad Vladi, told MailOnline Travel that it is expected to sell for less than €1 million (£866,000) – significantly less than the average price of a flat in Westminster, which is currently £1.22 million. according to Foxtons. And around the average price of a house in London.
According to a real estate listing for the island, which is part of Ireland’s Co. Cork, the country was last inhabited before the Second World War and there are several ruins. It is also home to approximately 25 Kerry Bog Ponies, which graze there all year round and are included in the sale.
