Fitzwilliam Corrie-Salmon, better known as Fitz, from Belfast, took the nation by storm yesterday when he donned a small tuxedo as his father, William, co-owner of Knotts Bakery, chatted with the King’s wife during her tour of Northern Ireland .

Today his mother, Zoe Corrie-Salmon, a former Blue Peter presenter, appeared on This Morning on Friday via video link with Fitz and her husband William.

Zoe, 44, was a Blue Peter presenter from 2004 to 2008, presenting the flagship children’s show with Konnie Huq, Simon Thomas, Matt Baker, Liz Barker, Gethin Jones and Andy Akinwolere.

After hanging up her children’s TV mic, Zoe moved to a country house in County Down, Northern Ireland, with her husband William Corrie.

The former Miss Northern Ireland today said she couldn’t sleep after seeing all the news surrounding her son last night, but luckily ‘Fitz’ managed to get a solid 12 hours of sleep.

She said: ‘Honestly we can’t believe it, she was so good with him, she’s such a lovely lady and it was such a special day.’

Asked how Fitz feels about his new-found fame, she said: ‘Fitz is naturally very talkative and very sociable, but he’s never been in that environment with so many photographers, we didn’t know what he was going to be like, but he really loved it. nice and he had a good day.

“I don’t think it phased him. It’ll be funny when he’s older, showing him all the press and telling him all about it, he won’t believe it.’

Zoe, who was once named the 20th sexiest woman alive by FHM, has largely stayed out of the spotlight since marrying her farmer husband in 2016.

In conversation with Hello! in 2022, she said: ‘Fitz can look forward to an idyllic childhood spent outdoors on the family’s two farms, which extend over around a thousand hectares.’

‘Will grew up on the farm and he always speaks about it so fondly. I’m looking forward to Fitz getting involved in that too. It’s a beautiful part of the world’.

She added that she had no plans to return to TV after taking a break from presenting work during lockdown and pregnancy

‘It’s a new me; I have changed from Zoe the TV presenter to Zoe the mummy and TV presenter. I want Fitz to grow up seeing both his mother and father work hard.”

Yesterday, as Fitz kicked up a storm in front of cameras, Queen Camilla called him “a natural.”

The toddler wore a tiny tuxedo as he grinned for the photos and came right up to the lens.

William watched as his son continued with Camilla and they both looked equally amused and delighted.

“We have a knack for the cameras,” she announced, grinning as she looked at him. There’s something wonderful about places like this.’

“She was a nice lady,” William said. ‘Really interested in the products. It’s really good to have her here.’

“She asked questions about what we do,” he also added after the visit. “We were joking about Fitz stealing her thunder for a moment.”

Speaking to interviewers later, Zoe also said that ‘they make a good couple, Queen Camilla and Fitzwilliam’ – and that the royal family were ‘warm, charming and very lovely’. I just hope she had a great day in Northern Ireland.”

Wearing the country’s signature color, the Queen opted for an emerald green Bruce Oldfield coat and a crepe dress.

Queen Camilla has said the King is “doing very well” despite missing a trip to Belfast as he undergoes cancer treatment.

They gave Camilla some of their local produce to take home, which she said she would share with the king, including their beloved fruit bread and madeira with ice cream.

Her Majesty is in Northern Ireland on a two-day trip, which both were due to undertake.

After the king was forced to stay at home, she decided to continue with elements of her own program for the work trip.
