Rising star lawyer, 28, ‘helped mother steal home from her son using multiple forged docs amid dramatic family feud’
a Florida Lawyer accused of helping a mother steal a house from her son using forged documents amid a dramatic family feud.
Ashley Morin, 28, was arrested Monday after Ryan Shhrouder claimed she helped his mother Suzanne Corcoran, who has also been charged with alleged fraud.
He told police that Morin managed to steal his signature stamp before his mother used it to sign a deed transferring his $540,000 share of the house to her, before registering the document.
Shrouder is a commissioner for the city of Cooper and previously employed Morin, court documents show.
“The signature stamp on the deed is identical to his signature stamp, indicating that Corcoran may have reproduced it or copied it from another document,” the probable cause statement said.

“Ryan emphasized that he never uses his signature stamp on essential papers such as wills, powers of attorney or deeds.”
Morin heard his mother on the phone saying that Shrouder has two stamps and wouldn’t notice if one was missing, a witness told police.
The attorney picked up Corcoran and took her to several post offices in an attempt to have the deed notarized, eventually succeeding at a UPS, according to the documents.
She then allegedly handed over an original copy of the deed to local government staff so it could be registered.
Shhrouder told Broward County Sheriff’s Detective Robert Feick that he had supported his mother financially for the past decade, but that their relationship had become “tumultuous.”
He stated that his mother could sometimes experience “severe instability,” leading to “self-destructive” behavior, which recently prompted him to revoke her use of credit cards and repossess a vehicle he had lent her.
“Since the day he took these actions, Ryan claims the Corcoran’s erratic behavior has escalated,” the documents say.
He accused his mother of making up lies that he and his wife Samantha, a doctor who had just set up her own telemedicine clinic, were using Ozempic.

The situation came to a head in May last year when Shrouder was on holiday in Spain.
The trip would have coincided with Morin’s last day in his office, when he claims she would have had the opportunity to steal his stamp.
Text messages in the court documents show Shhrouder confronting his mother about how the deed was signed in his name and her calling him a “desperate little loser” and accusing him of doing “bad drugs.”
“It’s unfortunate how self-destructive your behavior has escalated,” Shhrouder responded.
“You are clearly not doing well and I wish you the best of luck and I will allow the right professionals to sort this mess out.”
Corcoran’s Facebook page lists her as a former deputy with the Broward County Sheriff’s Office who studied criminal justice in college.
He told police that Morin managed to steal his signature stamp and used it to sign a deed transferring his share of this house worth $540,000 to Corcoran, before registering the document.
She and Morin have been charged with first-degree theft, filing false documents against property and criminal use of personal identifying information. Corcoran has pleaded not guilty.
Morin also denied taking the stamp to Feick and declined further questions after asking if she had driven Corcoran around.
The Florida Bar website lists her as working at Shendell & Pollock in Boca Raton, but there is now no trace of her on their website.
Shhrouder is also suing the notary who notarized the deed, according to court documents.
