Carly Schroeder became a huge feeling when she was cast in the beloved Disney Channel series Lizzie McGuire for more than two decades ago.
She was only 11 years old when she came to the show and played Melina Bianco, the best friend who became romantic interest from Lizzie’s younger brother Matt.
Their relationship fascinated the audience completely, and seeing them creating bad plans to mess with Lizzie was one of the best parts of the show.
But now, 22 years after her time in Lizzie McGuire, Carly looks very different.

She almost never places on social media, but on the rare opportunity that she shares Snaps of herself online, her content is usually focused on her efforts in the army.
One of her most recent messages shows that she is wearing a camo uniform and holds a gun. Another shows her to chow a hamburger with a huge cut on her eye and dirt over her face.
It is certainly far away from her former life in the spotlight, where her days were filled with glittering soirees and A-list events.

Carly entered the industry when she was only three years old after she attracted the attention of a casting director while attending an audition with her older cousin.

She started as a model, posing for Sears, Kmart, Spiegel, Lands’ End and Chuck E. Cheese as a young child.
She soon graduated from commercials, before she ventured into acting and landed her first role in 1997 at the age of seven in ABC’s Port Charles.
She also had small parts in the TV film growing up Brady and the Dawson’s Creek show.
In 2001 she joined the cast of Lizzie McGuire next to Hilary Duff, Lalaine, Adam Lamberg, Jake Thomas, Haille Todd and Robert Carradine.
After the success of Lizzie McGuire, she acted in the thriller Mean Creek, sports drama Gracie, Eye of the Dolphin in 2007, Horror film don’t forget me, and ROM-Com somewhat single in LA.
She then took free time to concentrate on her education and in 2014 she graduated from California Lutheran University with a double major in communication and psychology.
In 2018 she returned to acting to play in the scary film Ouija House, as well as the lifelong film deadly coasts, but since then she has not appeared in anything.

“With a university degree from @Callutheran in Criminal Justice, an ASVAB score of 92, and qualifying PFTs … I was accepted in Army #OCS (Officer Candidate School).”

Carly said she wanted to give her voice as an advocate for veterans and human trafficking more ‘validity’.
“At a more tangible micro level, human trafficking takes place in the United States,” she added.
‘I have written papers, distributed consciousness and as an army officer I intend to learn skills that I can apply later if I am in a team that helps these victims.
‘Serving my country will give my voice more validity. I can serve better and argue for veterans as soon as I form part of their community.
“The army is a family and family always has each other’s back.”
