A retired British strongman has tragically announced the loss of his unborn child.

Eddie Hall, 35, from Newcastle-under-Lyme, is famous for winning World’s Strongest Man in 2017, but recently shared the heartbreaking loss of his unborn daughter.

On December 3 he shared on Instagram a photo of his future ‘family of five’ – using the same snap wife Alexandra announced her pregnancy in October, captioning the tragic update.

Eddie said: “Unfortunately we have lost our unborn daughter. Personally, we don’t want to talk right now, share too much or break it up.

“There is no right way to deal with these things, only the way you choose. Our hearts are exhausted and talking won’t change anything or bring her back.

“We hope enough people see this to avoid having to have this painful conversation in person.”

“Right now, we’re taking some time alone to recover” before signing off: “Thanks for understanding, Alex and Eddie.”

In October, the happy family shared a sweet photo at Woore Fruit Farm, wearing matching skeleton onesies.

Alexandra has a skeleton baby embroidered on her stomach.

Eddied captioned the photo: “Happy Halloween from the five of us,” announcing Alexandra’s pregnancy to his four million followers.

The couple already share an 11-year-old son Maximum and a five-month-old daughter.

Eddie also has a daughter, Layla, from a previous relationship.

This comes after the dad tried to experience what it feels like to be pregnant in a light-hearted video with Alexandra.

In a YouTube video in May, the 35-year-old boxer wore a fake pregnancy belly and fake breasts – bought on the Internet – and spent the day as his wife, Alexandra, who was expecting their second child.

The 6ft tall strongman, who once weighed 31 stone but is now a slimmer 25 stone, admitted he was ‘agitated’ as he carried the extra weight around as he tried to complete tasks such as the school run, doing the family shop and getting ready for work.

‘The Beast’ looked quite strange as he took part in a yoga class and tried on maternity bras – in full view of other customers – in a lingerie department.

Hall, who previously swapped diets with his friend Tyson Fury, explained that he ordered the “super realistic” belly – which looked like he was carrying a nine-month-old baby – and large fake breasts to get some insight into what it feels like to being heavily pregnant.

Wearing his outfit, the husband and wife touched bumps in their kitchen before filming themselves following Alexandra’s normal routine.
