From the world of John Wick: BallerinaThe director has revealed which fighting sequence was the most challenging to film.

Okay, which set piece caused the most headache? It has nothing to do with the deadly flamethroer-based series of the third act. ACT 1’s Nightclub Brawl, a classic staple of the John Wick Movie series, was also not as stressful as the scene that Wiseman has in mind.
According to the filmmaker behind one of June 2025 New filmsThe most difficult moment to record was part of the Alpine Restaurant Duel between the Armas’ Eve Macarro and a member of the cult led by the Chancellor of Gabriel Byrne. The reason it was so challenging? The plates with which Eva and her fellow fighter attack each other during a horror-inducing series, continued to break when they should not have done that.
“The restaurant fight is a favorite of mine because there were many important story beats that landed, and it was incredibly fun to shoot,” Wiseman told me.
“But the location branch was one of the most difficult moments to film. They are escape signs, so they have one job [to break upon impact without hurting the actors]And they are doing well.
‘The problem is that when you pick them up, they immediately fall apart. So, she [the actors] She had to pick up subtly and then bring them to their opponent with real strength. The number of times they grabbed a plate and they would fall apart … I lost the count of how often we had to glue them together again. I remember that the props department asked me if 100 plates would be enough, and I said ‘yes’. Well, we have gone through all 100 records several times, so you can imagine which condition they were when we were ready! “
Understandably, every action sequence in the fourth John Wick film (at least chronologically – Read my John Wick movies in order Guide for more information) came up with his own series of challenges. That included the one-on-one between the iconic hitman of Eve and Keanu Reeves, which takes place in BallerinaThe last act.
“That was an incredible day on the set,” Wiseman said about photographing the confrontation between Eva and the titular murderer of the franchise.
“It is a moment in the film that is really fun and tense, but we were well aware that we had to make sure that there was a balance in the fight. John Wick is the so -called Baba Yaga, and although he is more experienced and skilled than Eva, we did not want her to have her own fight in her own fight. Fights.”
