Hailee Steinfeld is shutting down Josh Allen’s engagement rumors
Hailee Steinfeld made a few rare references to friend Josh Allen while attending the 2024 Golden Globes.
“I have a cute little doe thing,” Steinfeld, 27, said E! News when she showed off her jewelry at the awards ceremony on Sunday, January 7, seemingly quashing rumors that she and Allen, also 27, are engaged. “No specific reason, other than I just thought it was really cute.”
In addition to the ring, which Steinfeld mainly wore on her right hand, she accessorized her custom pink Prada dress with black gloves, a layered diamond necklace and sparkling earrings, channeling Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany’s. She shared a closer look at her dress via Instagramshowing off its open back and bow.
When asked what she likes most about dating an athlete, Steinfeld played coy and telling E! News, “Listen, what isn’t it about? Come on.”

Steinfeld went solo to the ceremony when Allen and the Buffalo Bills played the Miami Dolphins on Sunday night. As she walked the red carpet, Steinfeld said USA today she had a “really good” feeling about the Bills’ chances of winning. Earlier this month, rumors swirled that Steinfeld and Allen may have taken the next step in their romance. The pair have been dating since May 2023, a month after Allen split from his longtime girlfriend Brittany Williams. Although they have had several date nights, the pair has largely kept their relationship private.
