Harjeet Singh Rai comes home from work to find 500 tyres on his Blacktown driveway – and no one knows why they were delivered

A man comes home from work to find about 500 used tires neatly stacked in his driveway after a mysterious delivery he never ordered.

While Harjeet Singh Rai and his wife were at work, two men arrived at their home in Blacktown, in Sydney’s west, just before 10am on Wednesday.

One by one, the men rolled the tires of a large white truck into the driveway of the building during the bizarre delivery, they reported 9 News.

Some tires were rolled through the couple’s garden bed on the way to the end of the driveway, which is at the side of the house.

The tires continued to be unloaded until an estimated 500 of them had filled the couple’s car space, which stretched almost the entire length of the house.

The two men, wearing gloves, piled them against the couple’s trash cans at the end of the driveway and against the wall of the house.

Unloading and stacking the tires took four hours, which caused a commotion among the neighbors.

“I said to my husband, we are in the wrong kind of business, we have to use tires to build a house like this,” said one.

When Mr Singh Rai returned home later that day, he initially thought he had arrived at the wrong house.

Mr Singh Rai has still not found the rightful owner of the tires but would like them to come and remove them from his property so that he can get his car space back.

“I was shocked,” he said.

Mr Rai’s friend intervened: ‘First I started laughing, then we take things seriously, when you see the quantity it’s crazy’

The delivery of so many tires to a residential home was apparently a mistake, but the rightful owner has still not been found by Mr Singh Rai.

‘Come on, take this back. We’re not going to say anything to you guys because you’re doing a good job, so take it gracefully,” he said.
