EXCLUSIVE: A-list jet set: Harry and Meghan take private plane to Vegas with Cameron Diaz, Benji Madden and Zoe Saldana to watch Katy Perry in concert, after ex-Vanity Fair editor questioned royals’ marriage

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were spotted taking a private plane to Las Vegas with Cameron Diaz, Benji Madden and Zoe Saldana to watch Katy Perry’s concert over the weekend.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex enjoyed a glitzy child-free night out as they watched the popstar perform one of her last residency concerts at Resorts World Theatre.

Both wearing black ensembles, Meghan, 42, commanded attention in a sparkly, gem-encrusted outfit, teamed with a blazer, while Harry, 39, wore a sophisticated suit and a matching shirt. 

They were joined in the VIP section by Celine Dion – and both looked animated, standing up and cheering as the California Gurls singer took to the stage.  

Ahead of the concert, Cameron Diaz and her rocker husband Benji Madden, Zoe Saldana and Marco Perego, David Katzenberg and Stellina Bickers, and Bumble dating-app founder Whitney Wolfe Herd and her husband Michael Herd were all seen arriving at Santa Barbara airport to take the same jet to Vegas. 

The group boarded a G4 for the 40 minute flight to Las Vegas before flying home, touching down back in California at 1am early Sunday morning. 

Harry and Meghan were snapped disembarking the plane, with Madden visible beside Meghan.  

Katy Perry – who has performed for King Charles and other members of the British Royal Family at the Coronation concert – made headlines around the world in 2018 after making critical remarks about the Duchess’ Givenchy wedding dress.

Meghan tied the knot with Harry at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle in May 2018. 

Her designer dress featured an open bateau neckline and a triple silk organza underskirt which was paired with the Queen Mary Diamond Bandeau tiara. 

But when asked about her opinion on the minimalistic gown, Katy advised: ‘I would have done one more fitting!’ before giving the  Entertainment Tonight camera a mischievous wink.

Katy – who has met the monarch several times during work events – took to the stage at King Charles and Queen Camilla’s Coronation concert this summer. 

She looked sensational in a huge gold metallic gown as she entertained the 20,000 strong audience with a selection of her most famous hits. 

Beaming Katy thanked His Majesty for the privilege and revealed her honor as she gushed: ‘I got to bring my mum and stay in a castle!’

During her performance, Katy wore numerous outfits, including a stunning yellow and orange dress, featuring cut-out details. Elsewhere, the singer opted for a white frock with black and white thigh-high boots. 

The Duke and Duchess are neighbors with Katy Perry and her fiancé, Orlando Bloom, after the singer and her future husband purchased an exquisite compound in the wealthy enclave of Montecito, California, for $14.2 million in 2020. 

Katy and Orlando snapped up the stunning ocean view home from former Duracell and Chrysler CEO C. Robert Kidder, who owned the estate for over 20 years, according to Variety. 

The couple’s gated property consists of multiple structures sitting upon 8.9 acres of land and is situated among Hollywood’s elite and even royalty with Harry and Meghan as their neighbors.

This comes after a famous former Vanity Fair editor claimed that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s marriage will last ‘years rather than decades.’ 

Canadian Graydon Carter, 74, said he believes the Duchess of Sussex, who wed the Duke in 2018, ‘has run rings around poor Harry to get money, notoriety and a title.’

Since their royal nuptials in St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle in 2018, the Sussexes have stepped back from their duties in the royal family, moved to California, and had two kids, Lilibet and Archie.

But the marriage may not last the distance, Carter said. The founder and co-editor of Air Mail, told the Sunday Times: ‘I would measure the duration of the marriage in years rather than decades.

‘I think she has run rings around poor Harry and gotten what she wanted: notoriety, money, and a title. His usefulness to her diminishes daily.’ 

Carter said that he did not think Markle would make an acting come back – but did say: ‘If there is a Real Housewives of Montecito show in the works, she’d be a shoo-in.’

Meanwhile, it appears Harry and Meghan love to attend music concerts for their date nights, after the couple – who are parents to Prince Archie, four and, Princess Lilibet, two – were filmed at a Beyoncé performance. 

In September, Meghan was spotted dancing the night away at Beyoncé’s Renaissance tour in California – but Harry appeared less than impressed as he gazed at his phone while the party continued around him.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were among thousands of fans who crowded into the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles as the artist continued her world tour.

But Harry appeared disinterested as the pair were spotted in a private box along with Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland and Meghan’s Suits co-star and close friend Abigail Spencer. The members of their group, including the Sussexes, wore silver to match the singer’s request that her fans wear the colour to her show.

Meghan was seen clapping and waving her arms, while Doria, who celebrated her 67th birthday on the day, was seen dancing along to the music.

Harry however was seen with his hands firmly stuck in his pockets or glued to his phone. 

Earlier this week, Harry and Meghan took their children trick-or-treating for Halloween this year.
