Harry and Meghan’s Netflix series is less popular than Peppa Pig, official figures show.

Documentary by the couple about their departure from royal life was watched for a total of 62 million hours on Netflix in the first half of 2023 – while the children’s cartoon’s first two seasons combined for more than 140 million hours.

To put that into context, 60 million hours watched is the equivalent of one million people watching an hour-long episode once.

The streaming giant released the figures after receiving criticism for not being transparent about how its content is performing.

The first season of the political thriller The Night Agent was the most watched Netflix show in the first half of the year.

The Night Agent, which premiered on the platform on March 23, was watched 812 million hours in about three months.
