This is the hilarious moment a passer-by steals the show after unknowingly ending up in the middle of a flash mob at Alton Towers and joining in.

The anonymous woman was spending a day at Staffordshire theme park on Monday when she was unintentionally surrounded by the Alton Towers Scare Fest flash mob.

But instead of making a quick escape, the woman – considered a “legend” – joined in the dancing and enthusiastically tried to match the group’s moves.

The thrill seeker wore a silver jacket that coincidentally matched the outfits worn by the flash mob, allowing her to fit in seamlessly, much to the amusement of the onlookers.

Footage was posted to TikTok with the caption: “If you are this lady who got caught in the middle of the flash mob but played it so cool, know that we salute you because I would have died.”

The video starts with electronic music as a group of people dressed in silver clothing and face paint break out into dance.

Scare Fest characters include a woman dressed as a pirate, a woman dressed as a Georgian aristocrat and a woman dressed as a rag doll.

You can hear the crowd gasping in delight as the group bends to the left, freezing their bodies and pretending to be puppets on a string.

The group separates to reveal the woman, who is notable for her lack of costume but laughs before joining in the choreography and bobbing along with them.

The dancers then grin at each other when they notice the woman participating.

They stand back up and begin to bob up and down before turning completely in different directions in sync with the music.

The music starts to speed up and the dancers sway and spread to different sides of the woman, who has somehow ended up in the middle of the routine.

But as the dancers continue their impeccable choreography, it seems the audience becomes more impressed with the anonymous woman who stole the show.

The video was shared on social media earlier this week by TikTok user @em.m.22 with the caption: “If anyone happens to see this and knows her, let her know she’s a legend.”

The post received more than 13,000 likes and dozens of comments from social media users.

One person wrote: ‘She was born for this moment.’

Another said: ‘She became the main character.’

“She’s got this. Joining the group now,” a third commented.

Another added: “The fact that her jacket actually matches.”

A fifth joked: “Meanwhile the kids are dying on the side of shame.”

An Alton Towers spokesperson said today: ‘At Alton Towers Resort we are passionate about creating first-class experiences for our guests.

‘Our award-winning Scarefest event offers plenty of live entertainment and terrifying experiences for families and thrill seekers alike.

‘The Alton Ancestors are extremely popular with our guests for their exciting dance routines. We love seeing guests interact with them and enjoy some spooktacular fun.”
