She often uses the account to share videos of her rural lifestyle.

Aubrien said a local company built the exterior of the shed for her and revealed she pays less than £240 a month for the shed.

She said she will pay off the price of the shed in six years, much faster than it would take to pay off a mortgage.

Aubrien's shed is in a field on land owned by her friend.

It has a bedroom and a living room, but there is no kitchen and bathroom inside.

Instead, every time Aubrien has to cook or go to the bathroom, she has to trek 200 feet away to a nearby yurt.

To heat her shed, Aubrien installed a wood stove, which will help keep her warm during the long Colorado winters.

Aubrien's shed was completely bare when she bought it, and she renovated it all herself with power tools borrowed from a friend.

She added insulation, tiled the floors and put in walls.

Aubrien even added a second story to the barn to create her “dream sleeping loft.”

Many are clearly impressed with the video as it has already been viewed more than 1.2 million times.

A third person said: “The dream.”
Barn living is a great way to save money for a house, if you want to move but don't have the money to afford one yet.

As the cost of living crisis continues to weigh, more and more adults are struggling to get onto the property ladder and are opting to stay in their family home for longer.

The 2021 census showed that more than half of people aged 23 and under still live with their parents.

The average price of a house in Britain was £285,000 in March 2023, rising to a whopping £735,254, which is completely unaffordable for many.

Furthermore, research from the Resolution Foundation shows that the average down payment for a first-time buyer has tripled from 5 percent of the property price in 1989 to 15 percent in 2019.

This means buyers will have to save for much longer and use a greater percentage of their income to get onto the property ladder.

Recent research from property site Zoopla found that 42 per cent of adults under 40 who don't yet own a home have given up due to the astronomical costs of buying a home.

This included 38 percent of people earning more than £60,000 (almost double the average salary for the UK).
