The financially savvy Londoner, who posted the stunning results on Facebook, managed to spruce up her drab kitchen on a budget thanks to affordable purchases.

What’s even more impressive, Amy revealed in the postshe did everything herself – and you wouldn’t be able to tell from the fantastic After photos.

Before the beautiful renovation project, the beige kitchen lacked character, with simple cabinets, a dark gray worktop and white walls.

The dark washing machine did not fit in with the overall picture and stood out like a ton of bricks for the rest of the house. The simple white curtains also looked old-fashioned, as did the rusty stove.

But after a year of DIY makeover, Amy managed to completely overhaul the kitchen, giving it a whole new, modern look.

Instead of spending hundreds of pounds on new cabinets, the financially savvy Facebook user decided to spruce up the existing cabinet by painting it with B&M’s Johnstone’s Paint.

Depending on the colour you choose, you can pick up a pot of paint for as little as £12, but be quick as it’s currently on sale.

The now renovated white cabinets looked more chic and trendy and matched perfectly with the lighter gray countertops and beige floor.

If you’re strapped for cash or simply don’t want to waste money, you can purchase vinyl wrap from retailers such as Dunelm and have your worktop looking as good as new for next to nothing.

The Londoner said she used DX FIX self-adhesive static cling film for the worktops, also from B&M, where she bought two rolls for £20, or £10 each.

Amy – who chuckled that she didn’t have the patience for another renovation – also spruced up the walls with stick-on tiles from online giant Amazon.

DIY enthusiasts will also be spoilt for choice here, as the store offers a huge range of products to suit every taste and budget, with prices starting from just £8.

The stunning makeover also included a new cube on the side, which she purchased from IKEA.

Amy was over the moon with the epic glow-up – and rightly so – proudly writing in the caption: “After working on this solo for a year, I finally did it.”
