- Episource confirms cyber attack with patient data stolen

American Healthcare Data Giant Episource has confirmed that the suffering of a cyber attack in which the sensitive data has lost over more than five million people.
In a data report that was published on the website of the company, it said that the burglary was spotted on 6 February 2025, and after the IT network, the recovering of external forensic experts and the informing of law enforcement, the company heard that the unpleasant ‘copies of some data’.
The data includes health plans/policy, insurance companies, Member/group ID numbers and Medicare-Medicare-Government Payer ID numbers. It also contains health data such as medical records, doctors, diagnoses, medicines, test results, images, care and treatment, as well as other personal data such as birth dates or SOFI numbers (SSN).
Increasing credibility
