Trader Joe's has recalled 61,000 bottles of sparkling water due to the risk of cracks.
On March 12, the company announced a recall to Van Gerolsteiner Sparkling Natural Mineral Water, sold in glass bottles of 750 millililiters.
The affected bottles have a white, blue and red label with the name 'Gerolsteiner'.
Consumers can identify the recalled products by checking the plot number on the lower part of the label: 28/11/2024 L or 27/12/2024 L.
These bottles were sold at the Trader Joe locations in Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas between December 2024 and January 2025.
No injuries have been reported so far. The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), however, advises consumers to stop drinking the recalled bottles immediately and to bring them back to the store for a full reimbursement. No proof of purchase is required, but the bottle must be returned.
Anyone who experiences illness or injury after consuming the recalled product must contact his care provider. For more questions, customers can reach the customer relationships of Trader Joe on 626-599-3817 or submit a request online.
This is not the first time that an item from Trader Joe's has been recalled.

Last February Trader Joe's remembered his popular trader Joe's Organic Acai Bowl for fear of plastic contamination.
The recall was made on February 14, where the grocer encouraged customers to throw away or bring the boxes back to the store of a trader Joe for a full repayment.
“From an abundance of caution, throw all organic Acai bowls from Trader Joe away, because the product can contain foreign material (plastic), or brings it back to the store of your neighborhood dealer Joe for a full refund,” said the supermarket store chain in a statement.
The recall contained no information about the party numbers affected or specifying a series of dates when the affected products were produced or sold.
However, customers with questions about the recall were encouraged to call the customer's customer relationships.
The Organic Acai Bowl from Trader Joe is a popular frozen item that is sold by the grocer for just $ 3.99.

The recall by the supermarket chain comes a year after it had to remember four products that Listeria can contain – in the midst of a national outbreak linked to contaminated cheeses.
The grocer remembered his chicken enchiladas verde, coriander salad dressing, elote chopped salad kit and southwestern salad, all of whom contained Cotija -cheese.
The announcement was linked to a recall from Food and Drug Administration from Rizo-Lopez Foods Dairy items, including polluted cheese, crema and yogurt.
