Influencer films her fiancé driving with his KNEES while air drumming – as an empty beer bottle sits in the car’s cup holder

An Australian influencer has filmed her fiancé driving dangerously, using his knees to steer the steering wheel of his car while drumming his hands in the air.

New South Wales-based fitness blogger Christie Swadling, 27, shared a video to her Instagram account on Sunday of her sitting in the passenger seat as her boyfriend Joel Price, 38, drove along a rural road.

The pair were singing and dancing to Awolnation’s song Sail, when Price let go of the wheel and started drumming.

In an attempt to keep the steering wheel straight, Price used his knees to steer the large vehicle.

“My fiancé has now ruined this song for me…for…forever, so you’re second hand now. “Saaaaay (wait for it),” she captioned the video.

A Pure Blonde beer was also seen in the vehicle’s cup holder.

According to Transport for NSW, drivers must always have proper control of a vehicle and failure to do so could result in drivers being fined $481 and three demerit points.

The NSW Government also states that drivers should not drink alcohol while in a vehicle and driving, even if their BAC is below the legal limit.

NSW legislation only covers drivers, so there are currently no restrictions on passengers drinking alcohol in a car.

Swaddling also failed to properly wear her seat belt – with the sash under both arms.

In NSW, there is a fine of up to $2,200 for drivers and passengers over the age of 16 who fail to properly adjust and fasten their seat belts when the vehicle is moving or stationary, but not parked, unless reversing.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Swadling for comment.

It comes after Swadling filed for bankruptcy after accumulating a pile of debt she cannot repay.

Documents leaked online in February 2023 revealed that the social media star was in financial trouble, even as she projects a lavish lifestyle on social media.

It was revealed that Swadling was bankrupt after an anonymous user on the Tattle Life forums paid $15 to obtain the paperwork for her bankruptcy filing.

The Instagram model listed her job as an “advertising and marketing professional” in the publicly available document filed on December 29, 2022.

The status of her bankruptcy is ‘unterminated’, meaning that she will still have to repay certain debts and she will not be able to borrow from financial institutions again without the declaration of her bankruptcy.

Although the release of the debtor’s petition did not specify outstanding debts, the Australian Financial Securities Authority says a creditor must request $10,000 or more to apply to declare you bankrupt.

On April 20, Swadling went to court for a financial investigation to assess her property and financial circumstances as a means of satisfying the judgment debt.

She carried a Louis Vuitton handbag worth a whopping $2,840 as she prepared for the examination to determine her ability to repay her debts.
