This is the shocking moment an irate taxi driver confronted a cyclist at a red light in a heated brawl before violently throwing him against his car.

The fight broke out for unknown reasons on an island at a traffic light near Jubilee Way in Pontefract, West Yorkshire, where the two trading blows took place.

The footage shows the two men facing off before the fight is sparked by the cyclist aiming several right-handed shots at the driver's head.

But the cyclist is quickly overpowered and cannot land many hits as the motorist throws a series of punches before grabbing his opponent and slamming him into his vehicle in an impromptu wrestling move.

The driver is seen stumbling after being hit by the cyclist, before regaining his composure and pushing the cyclist against the car, unleashing a series of rapid blows.

The cyclist, dressed all in black and still wearing his helmet, appears exhausted after the motorist was hit in the jaw and leans against the red car for stability.

But the punishment doesn't stop there, as the driver grabs the cyclist by the waist before performing a belly-to-back suplex, a move known in professional wrestling as a “backbreaker.”

The driver, the smaller of the two men, shows impressive strength to knock his opponent off the ground and bundle him into the front seat of his motorcycle.

'Longer, greater range, helmet on, must have a weight advantage, certainly fitness with all the cycling he does and then, as a German, end up in the domain of the taxi driver. Unreal.'
