War between Israel and Palestine: British crowds waving banners and chanting slogans against Israel streamed past British intelligence headquarters.

London: Thousands of protesters marched through the streets of central London and Manchester on Saturday (March 9). In London, demonstrators marched towards the US embassy to show support for the Palestinians and Gaza, as the war between Israel and Hamas entered its 154th day.

Waving banners and chanting slogans against Israel, the crowd streamed past British intelligence headquarters on their way to the US embassy in the capital’s Nine Elms district.

The crowd was large enough to more than fill the wide 1.7 kilometer road from central London to the River Thames. A Reuters reporter estimated the crowd at the scene at around 30,000 people.

A similar march took place in Manchester, with demonstrators calling for a ceasefire in Gaza.
