Cancer beater Haller completes fairytale and wins Afcon for managerless hosts

CANCER survivor Sebastien Haller completed a fairy tale story by steering Ivory Coast to Africa Cup of Nations glory.

The former West Ham star, 29, staged a remarkable comeback to seal a 2-1 win for the hosts over Nigeria.

William Troost-Ekong had headed the Super Eagles ahead just before half-time to silence the home crowd.

But Franck Kessie leveled them just after the hour before Haller's big moment arrived with nine minutes to go.
