Jasmine's top 5 business tips

  • Financial planning Make sure you have a short-term financial plan, as well as a five-year plan. Look at what you actually need financially and be sensible with the numbers to ensure you don't find yourself out of trouble later
  • Enter the hours There isn't really a secret to business, it's just about putting in the hours. You have to accept that you don't have much free time
  • Do not feel guilty There are times when you need to prioritize your business over family, friends and other things. Try not to feel guilty about that. With my children, I know that by working hard I am a good example for them
  • Build a network Being an entrepreneur can be lonely, so I have a strong network of other female entrepreneurs around me. I don't see them as competition, we are all teammates sharing advice and tips with each other
  • Strong brand identity Be very clear about how you want your brand to be communicated and what its identity is. This will make it stand out
