JESSE LINGARD was mobbed by fans as he arrived in South Korea to complete his transfer to FC Seoul… and was bizarrely handed a whistle.
The former Manchester United star, 31, has been without a club since the summer when his one-year contract with Nottingham Forest expired.
He was linked with a host of teams, including West Ham and Steven Gerrard's Al-Ettifaq, both of whom he trained with.
But now he finally seems ready to put pen to paper at South Korean FC Seoul.
The attacking midfielder landed at Incheon airport and was greeted by a swarm of fans.
Lingard was seen walking through the terminal as locals desperately tried to catch a glimpse of the ex-England international.
And he also received a flute from a fan, referring to his party where he pretends to play the instrument.
According to a Korean journalist Sungmo LeeLingard will undergo his medical examination on Tuesday.
If everything goes according to plan, he will immediately join his new teammates.
FC Seoul is a six-time K League champion and has reached the Asian Champions League final twice.

Their squad includes former Swansea and Newcastle midfielder Ki Sung-yeung.
Lingard has scored just two goals and provided two assists in 20 appearances for Forest.
He made 232 appearances for Man Utd, scoring 35 goals and assisting a further 21.
But some of his best form came during a short loan spell at West Ham, where he scored fourteen goals in just sixteen games.
