NBA star Joel Embiid marries Brazilian Sports Illustrated model Anne de Paula in stunning Hamptons ceremony following his MVP season with the 76ers

Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid married Brazilian Sports Illustrated model Anne de Paula in a sensational Hamptons ceremony.

The 29-year-old Cameroonian married bom de Paula on Saturday in a church ceremony in front of their friends and family in Southampton, New York.

Embiid, who Was called NBA MVP in May, and de Paula already have a son together, Arthur, who is currently two years old. He was adored by NBA fans after greeting his father on the field at the MVP ceremony.

The beautiful wore a long-sleeved lace dress with a veil, while the handsome groom donned a white tuxedo with a bow tie.

The pair were beaming from ear to ear as they walked out of the church – and guests threw confetti at the happy couple.

De Paula and Embiid took to the beautiful dance floor for their first dance – where they lovingly held each other and danced to Brian McKnight’s song Back at One.

Guests were served burrata, heirloom tomatoes, and microgreens for their first course—as well as a choice of roasted beef filet mignon or lemon-thyme roasted branzino for entrées.

After the ceremony and reception, the happy couple and their friends and family danced under dozens of disco balls – while the American-Nigerian singer belted out the tunes.

Meek Mill also performed as guests danced into the night.

In May, NBA’s new MVP Embiid cried tears of joy as his son ran onto the field during the Association’s highest individual honor.

Embiid named his son and gestured to him before his mother made Arthur run to his 7-foot-tall father for the 76ers’ loss to Boston in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals series.

Arthur Elijah De Paula Embiid affectionately ran onto the floor before being picked up by the six-time All-Star after he had already begun to cry.

The lovable pair were greeted with loud cheers and the noise only increased as fans at the Wells Fargo Center got to watch the Embiids up close. Chants of MVP also swept the arena in South Philadelphia.

The 29-year-old shared how his family “stuck together” after the tragic death of Embiid’s younger brother, also named Arthur, in a crash car in 2014 in their native Cameroon.

Embiid’s son, named after his late brother, wore a shirt that read “My dad is the MVP.”

Embiid received the only ring of his career at the ceremony.

There is uncertainty about the future of Philadelphia. James Harden could be out and Embiid revealed he was “disappointed” to find out The Beard wanted to leave.

Embiid has described how much an NBA title would mean to him — and suggested that at some point he might be willing to leave the 76ers to achieve it.

“I just want to win a championship. Whatever it takes,” Embiid said in an interview with Maverick Carter that took place Thursday at the UNINTERRUPTED Sports Film Festival.

“I don’t know where that’s going to be, whether it’s in Philly or somewhere else, I just want the opportunity to achieve that.

“I want to see how it feels to win that first one and then you can think about the next one. It’s not easy, but it takes more than one or two, three men. You have to have good people around you every day and myself, I work hard to be at that level so I can make it happen. So that’s what I’m working towards every day.’

Embiid said he “loves the challenge” of hearing other players named for MVP and proving himself.

“I understand the business, it’s nice at the end of the day, I think of it this way: I’m extremely blessed,” Embiid said.
