She fronted the ITV series during the countdown to Christmas.

And Josie Gibson was quick to joke that white wine ‘turns her into an animal’ as she enjoyed a boozy This Morning segment on Thursday.

The presenter, 38, enjoyed a drink or two during a festive tasting segment with co-host Craig Doyle.

Josie admitted she wouldn’t drink too much of the drink, joking: ‘I tend to stay away from white wine because it turns me into an animal.’

An eager Craig put her glass down and said, “No no no,” before pouring more wine, adding, “A bit tippy toppy.”

It comes after Craig left viewers in hysterics by storming the set of This Morning while complaining about the oncoming traffic he will face when he goes home for Christmas.

The 53-year-old presenter jokingly stormed out of the studio after pleading with viewers to ‘get off the M4 at around 12.30pm today’ as he planned to travel home for the holidays.

It came after Craig was roasted by chef Becky Excell for failing to don a Christmas jumper for his appearance on the show, with the star joking that he ‘looked like a tree’.

Craig first complained about the festive traffic, while Alice gave her tips for last-minute Christmas shopping, saying: “If everyone can get off the m4 around 12.30 today, please.”

Alice then warned him that 12.30pm would be the ‘worst time to travel’, causing Craig to frantically run off the set.

Josie Gibson struggled to hide her laughter and shouted, “Get back here! you’re not done yet!’ with Craig eventually returning to the set.

Earlier in the show, Chef Becky also joked about Craig’s choice of jumper for the show, as she and Josie opted for glamorous festive ensembles.

She turned to Craig and said: “You didn’t get the memo,” with the shocked presenter commenting: “I look like a tree.”

Becky joked that Craig looked like ‘a tree without decorations’, while Josie commented that her co-host was now ‘toasted’.

Celiac UK ambassador Becky appeared on This Morning to demonstrate to viewers how to prepare a gluten-free Christmas lunch.

At the beginning of their daily news segment, Craig said, “Vanessa, you broke news this week about celiac disease.

‘We just want to say that during the show we will do more about living with the disease. For example, tomorrow the brilliant Becky Excell will come along to make a gluten-free Christmas lunch.

‘And in the new year we’ll delve deeper into living with celiac disease and similar diseases on a daily basis, that’s all that’s to come, but for now let’s move on to the news.’

In response to the announcement, Becky tweeted: “So… it’s happening. @thismorning contacted me to ask if I wanted to come on the show and I said… YES.

‘Tomorrow morning I get the chance to show that a gluten-free Christmas dinner is both easy to make and delicious and that us gluten-free people are not difficult or a problem.

“What things do you want me to mention most?” (if I get the chance… it’s live TV, but all I can do is give my best)

“I am very grateful for this opportunity on behalf of the entire celiac and gluten-free community. I really hope you will follow and support me. I’m quite nervous! Thank you to everyone who asked me to be on the show – it means a lot!’
