Horrifying footage has captured the moment a man started cackling as his two dogs mauled a kangaroo joey to death after it jumped over the fence of his property.
The video, which is too harrowing to share, captures the alarming incident that unfolds on a rural estate in Australia.
The footage was streamed live to social media users TikTok and showed the moment when the canines pounced on the helpless animal.
The dogs were seen dragging the kangaroo along the ground as their owner laughed without trying to intervene.
Footage sparked outrage among social media users, while indigenous elders condemned the act, saying it was a clear sign of disrespect.

A woman watching the livestream put her hands over her mouth and urged the man to stop filming and intervene.
‘Help the kangaroo! What are you doing?’ she said.
The man, who appeared to be wearing a cowboy hat, responded to her concerns by telling her he lives on a rural property.
“We live on a farm bro… shoosh,” he said.
The video also showed a woman picking up the kangaroo by the tail before slamming its head into a wooden surface on the ground.
One dog tried to bite the kangaroo as the woman continued to swing the animal around.
“Is the kangaroo still alive?” asked one person watching the livestream.
“No, I don’t think so,” said another.
The woman later took the kangaroo inside before placing the creature on the couch as the joey’s head rocked back.
The video is said to have been streamed live on TikTok for at least ten minutes. The clip has since been removed.
One woman who watched the livestream said she was shocked that the video was allowed to be shared on social media.

“It was heartbreaking to watch and I was absolutely stunned that this happened during those ten minutes,” she said Yahoo.
“I think everyone who watched couldn’t believe what happened.”
Dozens said it was disturbing to see the man just watch and laugh at the horrific act.
“That’s sad man…you just destroyed a kangaroo,” one person wrote.
The man who filmed the dogs attacking the kangaroo said people were overreacting to the incident.
‘You [sic] They’re taking it all out of proportion, mate,” he said.
He claimed to be indigenous and said indigenous people often eat kangaroo tail.
However, indigenous elders said the man disrespected the creature by laughing while it was being attacked.
“We value our totem species better than that,” said one.
‘Kangaroos are a valuable totem species.’
He also said there are certain rules that must be followed according to indigenous culture when people hunt and kill kangaroos as a food source.
Kangaroos are an important part of indigenous culture, as they appear in many Dreamtime Stories and cultural rituals performed in communities.
A TikTok spokeswoman told Daily Mail Australia the account the video was uploaded to had been suspended for a week for breaching guidelines.
