Karen Hauer has given her support to husband Jordan Wyn-Jones after he had to postpone his word record attempt after suffering from heart pain.

Jordan, who suffered a heart attack aged 28, is attempting a 1,000-mile round trip from Brighton to Glasgow, including 19 days of walking and running and 10 days of cycling.

Strictly Come Dancing star Karen reposted a video Jordan uploaded discussing his recent heartache.

The dancer wrote, “My dear, this is just a break and we are all here to support you. Love you a lot.’

In the video, Jordan shared how he had to take “precautions” after coming into pain and feeling his heart isn’t strong enough to begin the world record attempt.

He said, “So you would have seen yesterday my commute went down and the live tracker was down. Something happened to me where my heart hurt a little and I took precautions without using my ego.

“And I contracted a local cardiologist and got some tests done. Turns out I still had some testing to do and that’s where we are now.

‘I will need rest. This means that the world record is no longer on the card, but this does not mean that the event is over, so please bear with me for a day. T

“There may be some changes to the event, but that doesn’t mean it’s over. My heart is unfortunately not up to the task, I thought.’

Jordan previously damaged his heart trying to break a record in Australia in 2019 and later suffered a heart attack.

He is now raising money for the British Heart Foundation with his world record attempt, with a goal of £100,000.

Karen and Jordan got married in June last year, with the dancer describing the ceremony as a “fairytale” and gushing about how special it was to bring their families together.

The couple married at the five-star Chewton Glen Hotel, an 18th-century country house on the edge of the New Forest.

Karen was previously married to her former dance partner Matthew Hauer and later to ex Strictly Come Dancing star Kevin Clifton from 2015 to 2018.

Although they broke up that year, they continued to work together until Kevin left Strictly in 2020.

After she and Kevin broke up, Karen – who is originally from Venezuela – insisted that she would never date a dancer again.
