‘Welcome back Your Highness’ : Kate Middleton fans rejoice at news that Princess of Wales will be returning to watch the Trooping the Colour tomorrow following chemotherapy and pay tribute to her ‘bravery’

Royal fans are happy to welcome the Princess of Wales and commended her courage after announcing she would attend Entering the color tomorrow as she continues her cancer treatment.

Kate, 42, who revealed in March she was undergoing ‘preventive chemotherapy’ for an undisclosed form of cancer cancersays her treatment is ongoing and will continue for several more months.

She will not return to public duties full-time, but she is feeling well enough to attend a small number of public appearances in the coming months.

The first will take place tomorrow during the King’s official birthday parade, where she will ride in a carriage with her children, Prince George. Princess Charlotte And Prince Louis before they hit the Buckingham Palace balcony next to the rest of the Royal family.

Fans have flooded social media with congratulations and messages of excitement about Kate’s return.

One simply wrote: ‘Welcome back Your Highness’.

Another said: ‘This is the best news. I’m so very happy to hear that things are going well and I can’t wait to see your bright, beautiful smile again.’

Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has also said it is ‘great news’ that the Princess of Wales will join the Royal Family at Trooping the Colour.

Speaking at a press conference at the G7 in Italy, he said: ‘It is of course wonderful, wonderful news. The entire country will rally behind the Princess of Wales for her recovery.

‘I’ve seen her statement before, I thought it was brave, I thought it was honest and I’m sure it will bring a huge amount of comfort to so many other people struggling with similar health issues, so I think she deserves a huge amount of support . praise for what she said and it will be great to see her there tomorrow.”

Social media is full of people thinking about how Kate is helping others who aren’t feeling well by being so candid about how she’s feeling during her recovery.

People who have had cancer have also shown their support for the Princess of Wales, with one writing: ‘This is the BEST news! I have had chemo/radio twice and some days are so hard. I can’t wait to see the princess tomorrow IF she’s well enough. #WeLoveYouCatherine’.

The announcement was accompanied by a beautiful new portrait of Kate, taken this week in Windsor, which shows her looking good and optimistic.

In her message, the princess says she has been ‘overwhelmed’ by all the sweet messages of support and encouragement over the past few months.

“It really has made a world of difference to William and I and helped us both through the tougher times,” she wrote.

Movingly, she reveals that she is making ‘good progress’, but adds: ‘As anyone undergoing chemotherapy knows, there are good days and bad days.

‘On those bad days you feel weak, tired and you need to rest your body. But on the good days, when you feel stronger, you want to make the most of your good feelings.”

She added: ‘My treatment is ongoing and will continue for a few more months. On the days when I feel well enough, it’s a joy to get busy with school life, spend personal time on the things that give me energy and positivity, and start some work from home.

‘I’m looking forward to attending the King’s Birthday Parade with my family this weekend and hope to take part in some public performances this summer, but I also know I’m not out of the woods yet.

‘I’m learning to be patient, especially when it comes to uncertainty. Taking each day as it comes, listening to my body and allowing myself to take some much needed time to heal.

“Thank you so much for your continued understanding, and to all of you who so courageously shared your stories with me.”
