Katie Holmes was all smiles on Monday night as she celebrated her 45th birthday in New York City.
The former Dawson’s Creek sensation was joined by her 17-year-old daughter Suri Cruise, whom she shares with ex-husband Tom Cruise.
Katie was dressed in a black long-sleeved dress with feather detailing along the cuffs and a pair of white pointed-toe boots.
She draped a long ivory coat over her shoulders and carried a black leather bag.
The actress’ daughter was dressed in sheer black tights, a long gray coat and a thick, maroon patterned scarf wrapped around her neck.

Holmes’ brunette locks were styled straight and tucked behind her ears as they flowed down her chest.
She had on light makeup, which was completed with light pink lipstick.
Katie was married to Tom from 2006 to 2012. Suri was born in April 2006.
Last summer, Katie revealed that her daughter had recorded a cover of the song Blue Moon for her film Alone Together, which the movie star wrote, directed and starred in.
‘She is very, very talented. She said she would do it and she recorded it and I let her do her thing,” Holmes said Yahoo! Entertainment.
She noted, “That’s the way I generally direct. It’s like, “I think this is what we all want: go do your thing.”
When asked why she asked her daughter to sing in the film, she replied, “I always want the highest talent, so I asked her.”
Holmes also revealed that Suri sang in Rare Objects, a project that Katie also wrote, directed and starred in and was released in April.
