Keke Palmer says she faced ‘breast milk discrimination’ at the airport: details

Standing up for themselves – and for moms everywhere. Keke Palmer denounced the Houston airport for what she called “breast milk discrimination.”

The No star, 29, rose Twitter on Monday, June 12 to describe her experience at the Texas airport, claiming that the TSA threatened to throw away her supply of breast milk.

“Breastmilk discrimination at the Houston airport ruined my mood. I should have taken my boob out right away as the discretion and comfort of pumping is thwarted by threats to throw away more than 16 oz of my babies food?!?!!! Why isn’t that a crime?” the Nickelodeon alum – who welcomed son Leodis with boyfriend Dario Jackson in February – tweeted. “I AM A MOTHER for crying out loud 😩😢.”

Despite the drama, Palmer is “blissfully happy” in her role as a new mom, an insider reveals exclusively in the latest issue of Us weekly, now in newsstands. “Leo has a lively personality and he keeps Keke and Darius on their toes.” Although “the sleepless nights have been a struggle… Darius has been a huge help, and Leo is just a delight.”

While she may be exhausted, the Scream queen alum hasn’t slowed down a second since giving birth to her first child, releasing her new album, Big boss, and the accompanying film, in May. She has also lent her voice talents to the animated series Human Resources And The proud family: louder and prouder since 2022.

Palmer announced her pregnancy while hosting Saturday Night Live in December 2022 – at the same time she debuted her baby bump.

“There’s been some rumors going around, people have said in my comments, ‘Keke is having a baby, Keke is pregnant,’ and I want to get the facts straight – that’s me,” the hustlers star gushed, rocking her belly. “I mean, I tried so hard to keep it down because I have a lot of stuff going on, you know?” People kept coming to me [and saying,] ‘Congratulations.’ I’m like, ‘Shhh, can you all stop, I’ve got a booze sponsorship on the line. Let the check be clear and then we can go to the goddamn baby shower!’”

She continued, “Honestly, this has been the biggest blessing, and I’m so excited. Boys, I’m going to be a mom! Even though some people feel a little weird that I’m having a baby because I was a child actor, I just want to say, ‘Look, I’m 29, I’m an adult, I’m having sex [and] I have a house. … You know, things adults do.’”

Palmer and Jackson, 29, have been dating since August 2021.

“You have been a blessing from above,” the personal trainer gushed about his love via Instagram at the time. “Never expected the summer of 2021 to turn out like this, but here we are. I’m glad we were able to help each other through our lowest times and show each other that what we bring to the table is all we’ve got.
