King Charles and Queen Camilla will visit Australia in 2024.

It will be the monarch’s first visit to Australia, and Queen Camilla is expected to join him late next year.

The visit marks the royal couple’s first trip to Australia since 2018 and is likely to coincide with the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) in Samoa.

The CHOGM 2024 is expected to start on October 21 and will be held every two years.

The week-long meeting of 56 developed and developing countries includes countries such as Australia, India, Malaysia, Canada and New Zealand.

“King Charles plans to visit Australia and New Zealand in October,” a diplomatic source told the Sydney Morning Herald.

However, the diplomatic source in contact with the Monarch could not confirm whether the royal visit would take place before or after the event.

More to come.
