What’s open this King’s Birthday weekend – opening hours for Coles, Woolworths, Aldi, Bunnings, Big W

Customers are encouraged to check the varying opening hours of supermarkets and other retailers over the King’s Birthday long weekend.

The holiday of June 10 is celebrated in N.S.WACT, Victoria and South Australia on Monday.

Western Australia And Queensland choose to celebrate the King’s birthday in October and September.

Here’s what’s open on Monday for the big chains:

Woolies are open everywhere this long weekend except South Australia

Woolworths

All stores will be open in NSW, ACT, Victoria, Queensland, Northern Territory, Western Australia and Tasmania.

In South Australia, all shops are closed on Monday.

Westveld

All centers in Victoria will trade from 10am to 5pm on Monday, while all centers in the ACT will trade from 10am to 4pm.

In South Australia, all Westfield centers are closed.

In NSW there will be different opening hours across the state:

  • Westfield Kotara trades from 10am to 4pm;
  • Westfield Tuggerah, Eastgardens, Hornsby, Liverpool, Mt Druitt, Penrith and Warringah Mall will trade from 10am to 5pm;
  • Westfield Bondi Junction, Burwood, Chatswood, Hurstville, Miranda and Parramatta will trade from 10am to 6pm;
  • Westfield Sydney and Sydney Central Plaza are open from 10am to 7pm.

Coles

All stores are open during normal trading hours in NSW, ACT, Victoria, Queensland, Western Australia, Northern Territory and Tasmania.

All stores in South Australia are closed except Port Lincoln, Port Pirie, Berri, Port Augusta, Mount Barker, Whyalla, Murray Bridge Green, Mount Gambier and Victor Harbor.

Aldi

Shop opening hours vary during the June long weekend.

Customers are advised to visit the Aldi store locator for individual opening times for their region.

Bunnings

Bunning stores in every state and territory will be open on Monday.

However, states celebrating the King’s birthday have reduced trading hours.

BIG W

All stores will be open in NSW, ACT, Victoria, Queensland, Northern Territory, Western Australia and Tasmania.

Stores are closed in South Australia, with the exception of Victor Harbor, Port Augusta, Renmark, Murray Bridge and Mount Gambier.

Target and Kmart

Stores in all states and territories will be open with reduced opening hours, with the exception of some locations in South Australia.

South Australian stores in Firle, Tea Tree, Munno Para, Ingle Farm, Kurralta Park, West Lakes, Port Noarlunga, Marlon and Churchill are closed.

Dan Murphy’s

Most Dan Murphy’s stores open at 10am and close between 6pm and 7pm.

All Big W stores will be open on Monday, apart from a select few in South Africa

BWS

BWS stores in each state and territory open between 9am and 10am and close between 6pm and 7pm.

Drinkland

Stores across South Australia are closed, as are selected NSW locations.

Ikea

Some IKEA locations will close on Monday for King’s Birthday, including both the Logan and North Lakes stores.

In NSW, the Belrose store opens at 10am and closes at 5pm, while Marsden Park and Rhodes open from 10am to 7pm on Mondays.

Tempe is open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

In Melbourne, the Richmond and Springvale stores are open from 10am to 9pm, and the Highpoint store from 10am to 6pm.

Adelaide’s IKEA is open from 9am to 5pm and Canberra’s is open from 10am to 6pm.

Perth’s IKEA is open from 9am to 6pm and Cannington’s from 9am to 5.30pm.

Office work

Locations in QLD and WA are open as usual, while stores in NSW, the ACT and Victoria are open between 9am and 6pm on Mondays.

Shops in NT will be open between 9am and 5pm and again shops in SA will be closed that day.
