One woman was shocked to learn that she could clean her microwave efficiently by doing it simply kitchen cleaning hack.

Gina DeMarco, 48, posted one video on her TikTok handle @genx_mompreneur yesterday and showed the secret to a cleaner microwave.

“I can’t believe I never knew that,” DeMarco wrote in the description box of her video.

The TikToker walked to her stainless steel microwave, opened the door and removed the glass.

In her viral video, DeMarco said she didn’t know she could remove the glass from the microwave door, making it much less of a pain to clean.

DeMarco is a mother of three and regularly posts product review and recommendation videos on TikTok.

She has received thousands of views on various videos, but the clip showing her cleaning hack is the first to reach over a million, appealing to the CleanTok audience.

In the video, DeMarco opened her 2018 Whirlpool microwave door.

She then pulled out the glass with her left hand while she held the microwave door with her right hand.

“The glass slides out so you can clean the inside,” she said in her video.

“I’m 48 years old, and I never knew this was like this.”

After nearly 200,000 TikTokers flooded her post with comments, DeMarco posted another TikTok video on June 4 in response to a user who requested she provide a more thorough explanation.

DeMarco opened the microwave door in her reaction video and proved that it had no special features on the side.

“There’s no buttons here, there’s no lever, I don’t have a handle on the front, there’s nothing here,” she said.

“When you slide the glass out, there’s glass underneath that, it’s on the inside,” DeMarco said.

The TikToker safely slid the glass back into the microwave door before closing it.

“I know they’re not all microwaves. It’s this microwave, and maybe if you have one that works, it will work for you too,” DeMarco said.

While many TikTok users were happy with the tip, others claimed in their comments that the hack did not work on their microwaves.
