Kmart shoppers rush to buy $30 dupe of a $445 designer denim dress – and it’s a winter wardrobe staple

Australian fashion lovers are stunned after discovering an almost exact dupe of a popular $445 dress for just $30 at Kmart.

Fashion trends can change in an instant, and Australian women have done just that struggled to keep up with the latest go-to purchases.

Kmart’s long-sleeved denim mini dress ($30) bears a surprising resemblance to Australian designer brand Aje’s Colorado denim mini dress ($445).

Denim dresses are a must-have all year round because you can wear them on their own in the summer, but when the weather starts to cool you can combine them with a turtleneck.

Both mini dresses have long sleeves, pockets and striking gold buttons on the front.

While the Aje dress has two chest pockets, Kmart’s version looks slimmer without them.

You can tie the dress at your waist with the denim belt and choose between the front and back for a small bow to complete the look.

Australians are turning to affordable brands for ‘dupes’ of popular designer buys as the country slowly climbs out of its cost-of-living crisis.

Cotton On recently released a cheap $70 pair of heels that are an “exact replica” of $200 Tony Bianco shoes — and they’re calling them “shoes of the season.”

Kmart also wowed shoppers with a $40 version of a $4,000 designer trench coat — and it goes with everything.

Shoppers shared their love for the budget purchase online.

“Beautiful dress that is super flattering around my stomach and hips,” one woman raved. ‘Super comfortable and nice enough to work! It can also be dressed up with stockings and heels.’

“Fantastic dress, comfortable, good quality and fit,” echoed another.

‘It’s a perfect dress for the colder months. The length is perfect, the color is beautiful, overall a beautiful addition to my wardrobe,” said a five-star review.

Kmart isn’t the first budget brand to tweak an Aje design: Big W previously released a denim miniskirt, and Target also debuted a $70 denim dress.
