He can now negotiate with foreign clubs in anticipation of a possible transfer-free summer.

Mbappe reportedly dreams of playing for Real, but the move could be in doubt as the Frenchman makes a new demand.

Journalist Ben Jacobs claims the forward is desperate to play at this year's Olympics in his home city of Paris.

Having a chance to win a gold medal would be a deal breaker for Mbappe.

And he will not sign for a team that will prevent him from playing in the Games, which take place from July 26 to August 11.

The player is open to letting his PSG contract expire to become a free agent during the European Championship – where he will represent France – and the Olympic Games.

He will then see if he can join Real after his busy summer.

The idea would save Carlo Ancelotti's side a huge amount of money in wages.

Meanwhile, PSG could give Mbappe the green light to take part in the Olympics, despite it meaning he will miss most of his club's preparation.

The Parisiens have reportedly offered him an £86million-a-year contract in a bid to keep him at the Parc des Princes.
