Lesbian sex predator is jailed for nightclub spiking attacks on two women after first victim read about the second case and wrote on Facebook ‘she did it to me too’

A lesbian sex offender who attacked two women in nightclub toilets 19 days apart has been jailed for four years and three months after her first victim read about the second attack and responded Facebook: ‘She did it to me too.’

Jennifer Mallee, 28, took advantage of her first victim after her drink was spiked and led her to a toilet cubicle where she sexually assaulted her.

Less than three weeks later, the sexual predator carried out a similar attack on another young woman who she locked in a booth at another club.

The first victim didn’t come forward until three years later when she read about the second attack and posted on Facebook: “She did it to me too.”

Both victims became friends and went to court together to see Mallee sent to prison.

Judge Robert Pawson told her that if she had been a male sex offender, the public would expect them to receive a custodial sentence.

The first attack happened in the early hours of New Year’s Day 2019, when the victim met Mallee at the DYMK club in Bournemouth, Dorset, after being dumped by her boyfriend.

The woman, who was 22 at the time, said she drank three rum and cokes and then started feeling “weird” and “like a zombie.” She thinks her drink was spiked.

Mallee, who was 23 years old at the time, led her to the toilet, locked the cabin door and indecently assaulted her.

Charles Gabb, prosecuting, said: “This was an ongoing incident, the victim was particularly vulnerable due to her condition. We can’t prove who the substance was administered to, but for anyone who cared to see it, she was seriously affected.

“Anyone would have noticed that there was clearly something very wrong with this person.”

On January 20, Mallee attacked another young woman in the restroom of Cameo nightclub, locking her in the stall before putting her hand up her skirt, with the attack lasting about 20 seconds.

Mallee admitted the assault, was given a 12-month community order and placed on the sex offenders register for five years.

After reading about that incident, the first victim responded on social media “she did it to me too.” The second victim reached out and they had coffee to share their experiences.

She then made a complaint to Dorset Police and Mallee was charged with the first attack.

She was found guilty of three charges of assaulting the first victim.

Chetna Patel, defending, told Bournemouth Crown Court that the ‘very unpleasant incident’ was not prolonged but short, spontaneous and fueled by alcohol.

She said: ‘She wanted to use the facilities, this is not a case of her being taken against her will and dragged to the toilet. Both had consumed alcohol voluntarily.

‘Miss Mallee has not committed any further offenses in the five years since. She acknowledges that her alcohol consumption has played a significant role and rarely drinks or goes out.

‘This was out of character. Her behavior was isolated from that period.”

The court heard Mallee was physically larger than her victim and knew she was drunk and vulnerable.

When her judge Robert Pawson was jailed, he told Mallee: ‘The victim was at a low ebb and she sought out your company.

‘I have no doubt, after hearing the evidence, that someone slipped her a Mickey Finn that night. Although a very strong conclusion can be drawn that you were involved in its management, I have a lurking doubt and I am resolving it in your favor.

“But from the evidence I am confident that you knew or perceived that she was drunk and very vulnerable.

“You knew the condition she was in and you formed the intention to do what you did and led her to the ladies, whether she resisted or not, she would become subservient to your will.

‘Although you had no conviction at the time, you committed a similar offense within less than three weeks.

‘I see little regret in what I have read and heard.

‘I have to take into account the public’s perception if a man in your position were given a suspended sentence. The gender of the perpetrator should not be decisive for the sentence.’

Judge Pawson also made a restraining order preventing her from contacting the two victims, and a sexual harm prevention order banning her from being in a public toilet area with another woman.

She will also have to remain on the sex offenders register for life.
